Presentation presentation: IAG, LG Electronics, NSW Department of Education

It is difficult to follow account gains and losses in the industry. To help you figure out who has what, here’s a recap of the week’s locations.
AGI
IPG Mediabrands’ Initiative won the IAG media account. The insurance group, with the CGU and NRMA Insurance brands, had been part of WPP’s Mindshare since 2015. The account had not been reviewed for six years. AGI Marketing Director Brent Smart said the Initiative team “blew us away with their energy and cultural fit” and “excellent media thinking”.
LG Electronics
The Works, which is part of Capgemini, was nominated by LG Electronics Australia for brand communication across its entire portfolio, including home appliances and home entertainment. The Works is currently developing branding campaigns under LG’s âLife’s Goodâ marketing platform for its consumer electronics line. Integrated campaigns are expected to launch later this year. This will be LG’s first locally produced main brand work in over 10 years.
Openpay
Ryvalmedia, part of RyanCap, has been named a partner of the media planning and buying agency for global payments fintech Openpay following a competitive review of the agency. The account is valued at $ 5 million and Openpay plans to increase ad spending as it enters its next phase of growth and expansion in Australia. In addition to multi-channel planning and buying, the scope of work will include key partnership activations, performance media, social media, data and analytics.
ACMA
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has appointed Engine to develop and operate Australia’s first national gambling self-exclusion registry following a comprehensive and competitive submission process. The end product will allow people to self-exclude themselves from all licensed online and telephone betting services, such as those offering horse racing and sports betting, in one process. Engine will now begin the initial design and development of the solution. Testing of the service is expected to begin later this year ahead of a planned launch before mid-2022.
New South Wales Department of Education
The NSW Department of Education named Daresay, sister agency of The Works, which is part of Capgemini, for its vocational education and training (VET) program, following a review competitive. The agency will produce a series of video content to show how vocational education and training can lead to dream careers and financial stability.
Tata consumer products
Daresay was also named a social agency of reference by Tata Consumer Products for its Good Earth teas as it launches the new line of herbal teas on social media. Daresay beat four other agencies to secure the business.
