Office of Campus Sustainability collects electronics for recycling – BG Independent News

The BGSU Campus Sustainability Office with AIM Ecycling will be hosting an Electronics Recycling Pickup on Saturday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of the Slater Family Rink (Lot 10), 417 N. Mercer Road.
Recycle your electronics for free, clean out those garages, basements and attics. More than 50 million pieces of e-waste are generated each year in the United States, with the majority ending up in landfills. This is your chance to recycle unwanted/obsolete electronics in an eco-friendly/responsible way. Includes certified destruction of hard drives and devices containing personal information/data.
Recycle anything that has a plug or that has used batteries: we will take computers, laptops, monitors, printers and other computer equipment, wires, cables, cords, headphones, cameras, AV, video games, VCRs, DVD players, home appliances, electronic tools. , batteries, fans and much more.

Flat screen televisions are the only types of televisions accepted. No tube or CRT television screens and no VHS tapes/tapes, DVDs, CDs, floppy disks or similar items.
