Iran among top 5 electronic warfare powers in the world: official

In remarks on a TV broadcast on Sunday, the CEO of Iran Electronics Industries, an affiliate of Iran’s Defense Ministry, said the era of reverse engineering in Iran’s electronics industry is over.
Local experts are currently designing and manufacturing ultra-advanced electronic technologies and components, and thanks to their achievements, Iran is ranked among the top five world powers in this sector, General Shahrokh Shahram added.
Highlighting modern wars in which the enemy strikes targets at long range, the general said Iran has developed special surveillance equipment and radar systems to deal with threats. “Such technology is only available to five countries, and we have acquired this technology. “
He also noted that the Iran Electronics Industries Organization works in collaboration with more than 600 universities and 900 knowledge-based companies to meet the demands of the Iranian armed forces.
The key to success in modern warfare is the creation of communication networks, Shahram said, claiming that Iranian experts have developed indigenous networks and blocked the enemy’s listening capabilities by encrypting communication data.
In comments last month, Air Defense Commander Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi Fard said Iran’s significant progress in the air defense industry has made the country one of the main world powers with the ability to detect every aerial object in its airspace and even beyond its borders.
